In 2008, the program presented more than 400 conferences, seminars and workshops to meet the post-college learning needs of working adults. These programs attracted more than 30,000 participants from throughout the Commonwealth, the nation, and the world. The programs are created to:

• Disseminate the most current university research and knowledge;


• Address changing career needs and interests, and provide a deeper understanding of the information explosion;


• Facilitate collaborative programs between Virginia Tech's colleges and state, national, and international professional, business, and community groups;


• Provide comprehensive training programs--both on-campus and on-site--utilizing the expertise of faculty and professionals throughout the commonwealth.
